Your Hosts
After decades of travel and working overseas, Suzanne and Robertson found this perfect location to put down roots. It's been 12 years of growing gardens and building. Along the way they've collected recipes and stories to share with wandering guests; the best ones are honed here on the lake.

Lunch Menu
Choice of homemade soup (CAN$12) or bison stew (CAN$15).
Bannock, Crag Lake Organic Fair Trade coffee, sourdough muffins or fruit dessert is included with either the soup or stew.

The First Nation people originally called this lake "Grizzly's Throat" to give you an idea of the winds that blow through the valley at times. This is the landscape that inspires and stimulates creativity.

Curiosity Shop

Suzanne is a pack rat by nature which is challenging when living out of a backpack. When traveling she collects fabrics, hand-made paper and beads to work with in the studio during the long dark winter months. The shop also has vintage/antique goodies and other well traveled treasures such as baskets from Swaziland and fabrics from Guatemala.

Sourdough was a critical component for every gold stampeder; there were no grocery stores in Dawson City and no place to buy yeast. Suzanne read somewhere that the first piece of furniture in a gold rush cabin was a tiny shelf by the wood stove for the sourdough pot to keep it warm and bubbling.
