Dunroamin’: (verb) finished traveling, convinced to unpack one’s bags when the ideal location presents itself, in a place that hums with creativity,
in balance with nature, planting roots for the searching, roaming, restless bohemian/gypsy type
.

What Makes Us Different

The Dunroamin’ Retreat is an arts/crafts based wellness retreat specializing in personalized visits
in a vibrant and creative community within Yukon’s wilderness. The intimate setting allows for parties
of 1 to 4 persons and is ideal for a couples or girlfriends get-away.

The Dunroamin' philosophy is based on self-care and stress management practices,
by providing a sanctuary setting for individuals requiring peaceful intervals
to recharge life "batteries".

Adventurous and curious types would enjoy the opportunity to sample local activities and to meet
a tiny cluster of individuals who love the challenge of living on a side of a mountain.

The Dunroamin Retreat is situated on the shores of Crag Lake (pop. 24).
. The area is known as the head waters for the Yukon River, and site of Skookum Jims famous gold seeking
vision according to First Nations legend "Frog Helper".

“Ecologically sustainable practices followed”
The Dunroamin’ Retreat is a small scale, home based, community spirited and environmentally minded operation.
For example, we compost, garden organically and conserve water in many innovative ways.
We also recycle, reduce consumer goods and colourfully repurpose everyday items.
We hang all our laundry to dry outside and would rather sauna than shower.

Suzanne Picot BSW, your host and memory maker, invites you to share her eclectic and charming environment.
Hopefully you too will discover what it is about this location that inspired her to suspend her wanderings.
