The guest cabin dream started percolating soon after we arrived to Crag Lake from Cali, Columbia. We wanted to extend the peace we found here to others who might need a sanctuary. Originally, we pictured something much smaller but Suzanne needed a Maritime styled dormer as a cozy reading corner. Rob built the cabin over three seasons, from local materials. |

![]() The loft has an outside access as well as a ladder from the main floor. The cathedral style windows acts as a clever headboard that allows a rare view into a squirrel’s nest in the treetops. Suzanne creates handmade quilts during the long dark winters using reclaimed items such as clothing labels, doilies and soon, neckties. |
