HikingLocal trails: The short loop trail is a 2.5 km hike following the lake part way and comes to rest at a rustic bench by the water. In June, fields of arnica are abundant on this easy to manage walk. The old trappers cabin trail (also known as the long loop) is a 5 km hike along mostly level ground, partly along the lake. This trail is tastefully decorated by many visiting and local artists and boasts a variety of wild flowers in summer and cranberries in fall. The old cabin dates back to the 1930’s and is photogenic as well as a true depiction of a trapper’s reality. |
